Wifi mystery

Hey guys, quick question.been looking around here on the topic of running a iPad mini2 with a7 processor and I've noticed some people talking about flying with wifi on and some with wifi off on their device.

Are they referring to a cell phone or other device in their pocket or the wifi for the device being used to run the djigo app?

Any device with wifi active in close proximity, principally the device running the flying app though.

Personally I leave wifi cellular and Bluetooth running in everything and haven't had an issue.

But the device running the djigo app needs to keep wifi connected so it stays linked with the controller correct?

I have been putting the iPad on airplane mode but leave the wifi on connected to the phantom wifi network.

This is correct?
