When recording video P4 makes more than one file

The last two times I recorded video on my P4 it created two files. I only touched the record button once and did not touch stop until P4 landed. When I looked at the files there were two created for that flight. There was a stop and then a 2nd file was created and the rest of the flight was recorded.

What is causing that?

The files will always split at 4GB. There is no way to prevent that from occurring.

From memory you can only record files up to 4Gb at a time on your card and hence the second file.

This is a limitation of the FAT32 file system, which is how the MicroSD memory cards are formatted. Max file size is 4GB.
