What's the deal with fcc mode?

So I always see these things about enabling fcc mode and I don't get why dji doesn't want you too. Dji just doesn't want people too have the range? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Not sure what you're asking if you are in the US you are in FCC mode. Other countries are in CE and they mod to get FCC mode as it is more powerful=more distance.

If you take your drone to Europe, it will automatically switch to ce mode which is a much shorter range. The laws there require ce mode. There are hacks, so some people there want them. Of course, just to have a stronger signal so they can stay in better contact with their drone. Lol There are some advantages to living in the US.
