What is (yaw) gain?

Haven't been able to find a good definition of gain: what it is, and what effect adjusting it in the software (for yaw or any other thing) would change. Anyone got one?

This still wasn't really helpful. For a controller, it seems like most gains are 120% or whatever. What would happen if this were set to 80%? How about 200%? How does changing gain change the actual experience of flying? Thanks!

leave default unless you know what you are doing.
It affects flight behaviours especially with changes in weight. The higher the gain, the quick the system can react in controls. The yaw gain settings will NOT slow down the yaw speed.
The gain settings can cause jello. I had mine on 200% for one of the settings and the camera and gimbal oscillated so much that the video was unusable.
