My guess is that it holds the camera stable when you put on a filter? I couldn't find anything in the manual.

Looks like a motor gripper for taking off props.

Interesting. Could be. My P2+ and P2V+ had a metal solution for this, but my P3 does not have this metal tool. I like your idea here.

Yea, I think I saw that on some website-- maybe even DJI

Looks like that to me too. Either idea really... check the inner diameter of both the lens & the motors and see which it matches better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's for the new motors. Their top profile won't work with the old wrench

It is listed as a motor holding tool and is included with the newer P3's. It was not included with the original batch of P3's. Shown on the what's included list for P3's.
