This really depends on your area.. I have read people getting up to 4,000 feet distances and as little as 500 feet. The more people and wifi signals around the shorter the distance. I live in Chicago and when I fly at a park in the city I can get about 700'-1000 range max before i trigger return to home. I am planning on upgrading my antennas soon as I feel like the distance in rather poor in congested areas.
and yet, I've gone over 1 mile (5,280 feet, or 1,500 meters) in my area which is pretty noisy in the WIFI world (where I usually stand)
From my home and one of the near by parks I was getting around 1,350 feet.
however, I flew near a concert stage that had a lot of equipment, probably wireless Microphones and such on the same frequency. I could only fly about 75 feet towards the stage and the FPV video would cut out.
