Have the Phantom DJ3 and will fly it at 1400 ft. on a mountain. If it goes over the edge it's practically sea level below. Will it drop or just be ok?
 
It will continue to fly straight at its current altitude.

As stated it remain at current height - it uses built in barometer measuring air pressure to maintain height (and indicate on app, change from take off height). The air pressure out over the cliff you asked about is the same as level with on the cliff. Hope that helps explain if you were interested in more detail.
