Flew last night to get some sunset pics. Went to review them in the app and there not there. I pulled the memory card out to check on my pc and they are all .DNG file extensions. Can't read them so what happened?

Raw is fine Bradley, you just need to edit them post production. It'll give you more control over the picture compared to JPEG.
Use programs like Lightroom to do this. Hope that helps.
