Why don't you ask them? Anyone else could only guess.
But since Eagle Eye are not listed as holding a Sect 333 exemption https://www.faa.gov/uas/legislative_pro ... rizations/
... they probably just went out and filmed ... like almost everyone else does.

I post d an inquiry at their website. There is also a phone number so I may give them a call. I thought you could recognize the camera and copter from the clear shots. The crash. Though, looks like a dji, I sort of recognize the phantom arms. I think they used that footage as an insert. I don't think there was a real crash
