What do I need for FPV?

Hello friends,

I have my Phantom and Hero3, now I'm looking to get a complete FPV system. I was thinking about getting the Predator v2's to keep things simple, but I was thinking about getting the Dominators. So if I do decide to go with the Dominators, what else will I need?

I just purchased the Hero3 USB to AV video output cable. I'm hoping this is the correct cable.

That cable did not fit my Fat Shark Predator V2 video transmitter.

Look at the picture of your cable, notice the black ridge on the bottom of the fitting that goes to the video transmitter. That "key" prevents the plug from being plugged into the video transmitter socket. If you grind that off to get it to fit, then the top of that fitting does not snap into place because my video transmitter had a 5 pin socket.

This cable is 5 pin, but only uses 4 conductors and it fits great and works fine.

Please keep in mind your cable may fit your video transmitter just perfectly as your video transmitter may be different than mine.

I ended up buying three cables in order to get the right one. Each site advertised theirs as the cable I was looking for. I'm a newb offering advice, perhaps some experts here could explain if video transmitters have different camera/video connections.

My suggested list according to your request of a complette FPV system:
1) GoPro 3 correct USB A/V cable (just want Video or want audo too? you can hear alarms and motor extra noises throught goggles audio connector )

2) Want to record your flights? Get a portable Mini DVR.
