What computer do you use and software for 4K editing?

I currently have a gaming computer with an ice seven processor and 20 gigs of RAM and I'm having very choppy video editing on da Vinci resolve. I thought that this fast computer would handle 4K editing but now I'm having second thoughts. Anybody want to give me some ideas on what works best for your editing? My iPad Pro works very easy but the app I'm using is not suffice and need something more robust like da Vinci resolve or premiere Pro.

I am using an 2015 iMAC with 24Gs and Final Cut. You are right 4K demands a lot o resources. Be sure, you use Proxy files in your settings, I guess premier allows the usage of proxy files, this will dramatically speed up editing.

Mine does fine with editing and playing 4k. I think the SSD helps.

Using my iPad Pro ATM but a good gaming laptop would be my next investment
Mind you the iPad Pro handles files shoot in 2.7 k very well easy to edit
To play it back I use my Apple TV
