Usually the lens filter is on so tight it's almost impossible to get off. No problem for you. I bought an aftermarket uv filter that has an o-ring to hold it on (in addition to threads) so I don't need to overtighten it.

Also be careful rotating fast around and around. It's very possible to confuse your compass system and throw you into atti mode. (Compass error) The good people here diagnosed it from the logs as a false positive. Pretty scary.
