That's the setup I want... Hopefully somebody develops a conversion kit..

There are3 lots of other drones that can carry a gopro (including the P2)
None of them have the range or photo control options of the P3

Why would you want to use a go pro? I heard the GoPro4 high resolution mode gives terrible fisheye distortion. I don't think you'll ever get all of the nice control capabilities available with the DJI camera when using a GoPro. Even 3DR hasn't provided that yet, and they're the one touting their close relationship with GoPro and their ability to interface with a GoPro on the Solo. It's still not working. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for someone to build a gimbal and software interface to hold a GoPro on a P3, the low demand just wouldn't justify the development cost.
