From the videos I've seen, it LOOKS plug and play like the 2D.
I'm assuming it also fits the phantom... I hope

may be interesting. Looks like it takes up alot of room under the belly of the quad though I would have to find a place to put my FPV stuff. Also I have a P1.1.1 wouldnt i have to upgrade my controller to get another channel to control the roll?

Very cool that you got this working. are there any tutorials that show how to install the Walkera 3-axis gimbal to the phantom? I've only been able to find bits and pieces, but no, "from beginning to end" tyoe stuff

I said F*** walkera and banggood and all these china shops.
I upgraded to a P2 H3-3D and bought from local USA shops with good return policies.
