Video recording cuts out

Sometimes when I am flying and with video going the screen on my ipad will go green and then black out so you can't see the footage you are shooting. Any ideas what could be wrong

The title of your thread is very misleading. You are speaking of live footage, not recorded footage. There are many threads on this issue with ipads. A few minutes of searching will bode well for you.

I had the same problem with my P3 and my Insp 1 and one suggestion was the iPad just can’t cope with all the info.
I ended up buying a Chrystal Sky and found it to be a magic bit of kit.
