Am new to shooting video with my FC40 drone / camera. The video created is extremely jittery/shakey. What steps do I need to take / what investment in camera (w/image stabilization?) and/or gimbal mounting must I take to achieve minimum standard with this version quadcopter for clean, stable video clips?

I have been using an FC 40 for five years now.

I fitted a Tarot gimbal that fits any Go Pro camera.

Combined with Go Pro studio which flattens the video from the bubble effect, I have been happy.

I use Gimp to remove the curved effect on stills. Attached is a pic of the Talyllyn Railway shot with a Go Pro. and processed with Gimp.

I too experienced a jelly effect but by using a Tarot gimbal I sorted that out although I did have to change the shocks.

Good luck,

Pete
