Vertical Gain

I have used the search please can someone please tell me if increasing the vertical gain will give me more power at the cost of flight time of course or just make it uncontrollable sorry if this is a dumb question

My understanding is the basic gains are for the correcting flight and position signals from the IMU. If you added more weight for example the craft may tend to drop and not hold altitude. Increasing the gain helps to overcome that.

The attitude gains effect flight control signals from the transmitter. However, they only offer pitch and roll there.

So no, it shouldn't have any effect on power for ascension.
