Using a PS3 or XBOX controller to fly the Phantom?

Would this be possible? Too fly the Phantom with one of the wireless console controllers?

I was watching some military show on the Discovery Channel and they were using an XBOX controller for their robot bomb finder. I thought it would be kind of cool if that was possible with a Phantom.

Nope. I haven't seen it. Good idea, but there is no way to transmit data from the xbox remote to the Phantom. At least not long range.

It might be possible with the Groundstation, as that will allow you to fly using a joystick on your PC. The trick would just be getting the xbox controller recognized in Windows that way, and for the GS software to accept it as a joystick.

You can use a PS3 or Xbox controller on a pc, I have done this before:

As long as they are recognised as a game controller they should work with the GS software.
