Just did my second ever FPV flight today (though having been flying for 16 months now). An issue I had half expected is where despite the sun shade my Boscam monitor has I could hardly see any image once I got out in the field. Even turning around I got barely any visible image till I put my face right into the monitor! Ideally I would like to be facing the craft when in the sky and be able to look down for positioning and occasionally flying. My first flight had been later in the day in dull sunless conditions. Though even them the image did seem rather washed out. And on this particular monitor there are no brightness/contrast settings.

Any suggestions?

cheers

Not really much you will be able to do, its the monitor thats the issue. I watched a shed load of reviews etc before buying the Black Pearl and so-far its been great. i was 90deg side on to the sun the other day and could see my screen fine.

The only thing you could do with your current setup is to stick a cover over your head and monitor :)
