Upgrade Question

Thinking about upgrading my P3A but don't want to go to 1.9.60 since there are numerous reports here about issues. So I have decided to upgrade to 1.8.80. My question is: after upgrading the AC and batteries to 1.8.80 the controller is upgraded through DjI GO app but apparently that will be the latest version (1.6 I believe). So will the latest firmware version for the RC controller be compatible with AC version 1.8.80? Very confusing because the release notes say nothing about the RC controller versions.

Current installed versions:
AC & batts - 1.5.30+
RC controller - 1.5.70
DJI GO app - 2.8.2

It should work since there is no remote controller update in the 1.9.6 release.
