Has anyone upgraded their P2 v1 to v2?

If so, what was the total cost and were there any issues?

Will the new esc and motors work with v1.08 firmware or must we up/down grade to v3.08?

Re: Upgrade motors, ESC's and props to get V2

The ESC has no communication back to the Central board. It just takes the signal from the FC to run the motors and then another from the Central board to light up the LEDs. So day 1 FW or from 3.08 on up, the new ESC/Motor combination will work with any of them.

Thanks. So it looks like the new parts run about $300. So I guess just getting a P2 without the gimbal is a no brainer since it comes with the new control and a battery and charger for $600 or so and you then have a spare bird.

Having that extra bird is nice when problems arise (they will) your down but not out .
