I live in Southern California and work is having me go to the Denver area around the first of June. I'm planning to add a week of vacation to the end of my work trip and I'm looking for places in Colorado and Utah to fly my drone to get some good pictures and video.

My investigations so far tell me that the National Park Service has a "temporary" ban on UAS flying in national parks. That makes me sad, but I won't knowingly break any laws or rules. However, additional research suggests to me that the Forest Service allows drone flying in national forests. Their attitude seems to be follow FAA rules and fly responsibly and we're okay with it.

Given the following guidelines:
1. I don't want to break any laws or rules.
2. I don't want to bother anyone.
3. I don't want to bother anything (such as wildlife.)
4. I just want to get some good pictures and video.

Anyone have any advice on where to go UAS flying in Colorado and/or Utah?

All National parks are no fly zones, but your right the forest service will allow it, no way to get around it unless you break the ruling
