Unable to establish connection between Datalink & PC

I cannot get my computer to connect to the datalink ground unit. I'm using Windows 7, x64, didd all the installs and updates, but the ground station software will not connect to the data link via the USB serial. All installations completed normally, without errors, the device manager shows that all necessary drivers were installed and are functioning normally. Anyone else have this issue?

Windows 7, x64 on a Sony VAIO notebook, 8GB ram, current on all updayes

Do you have the datalink connected to two USB ports or one? Unless you have it connected to an external power supply, I believe you'll need to connect both USB plugs on one end of the provided cable.

If it's a P2, you can try all day, it wont work until the firmware is out.

ehpepper, while tinkering with my groundstation last night (connected to old model Phantom), I discovered that sometimes the PC would fail to see it until I pulled and re-inserted the USB plug into the PC...and sometimes it would take several tries before it was successful. Win7 64bit.

Also, did you run the groundstation assistant first to check firmware version and confirm it could see the groundstation?
