Can someone just fill me in on the basics, not looking to fly at not or or "congested" areas, but do want to fly a bit in london as well as newcastle and Liverpool. Not looking to make any problems.

Where are you looking to fly?
Pretty much the only open spaces in London far enough away from houses - IE: more than 150M from them are the London parks and these have their own restrictions and not to mention a lot of people milling around!
Flying around derelict sites is popular, but a little risky, as you won't be "In Control" of the buildings.
Just don't do what one idiot is doing in Nottingham and fly around Goose Fair and the football grounds... Although come to think of it, 1000 for a Notts County match would be a good size crowd for them
