If I HAD to choose between these 3 options, non of which are optimal, I'd say 1.
But better attach it to the left aft leg, opposite of the compass leg, pointing straight down. I did a lot of testing and came to this conclusion.
Get it as low as you can with the tip of the antenna a mm or so above the ground. I used good velcro for that, allowing me to try different placing. But belief me, left landing gear, facing 45degrees out so the antenna is right under the motor. Another upside besides good reception from most angles is cooling of the tx by the props (they can get very hot).
