while much of the UK is experiencing poor weather, today I was blessed with a cold but sunny and still day so unexpectedly was able to clock up some flying time on my 3rd outing with th p3a
I chose an area on Cannock Chase that I knew to be clear of the forest. Everything went well and after 2 short flights in beginner mode to settle me in, I turned off beginner mode and set the max height and distance to 70m.
The subsequent flights were different by not being limited to 30 metres and the images from 70 metres were amazing.
My flying spot was near a shallow disused quarry and I took the drone down into it, but not too far.
It was strange to see the drone so far away and using the map to know where the front was pointing and I need to work on steering in the desiredd diirection when it heading toward me.
A productive session and then I put a few minutes of video together. Not the smoothest filming but it's a start.
