Trying to update profile, and avatar?

Hello,
I'm on an iPhone 4s, how are you guys doing your avatars?
I've looked for photo editing tools for iPhone, but nothing goes
As small as 90x90, the smallest I can get is 320 pixels?

I'd like to create an avatar, but keeps telling me FILE TO LARGE,
Please reduce to 90x90pixels or less? Or under a certain MB?

I've tried several editing apps, with no avail?

Any help?

You may need to use a PC program. I just added an avatar for the first time this morning too, and I went through everything you did. I couldn't even get Photoshop to make an image small enough to fit 6KB until I used "save for web" and fine-tuned the format and palette.

Photoshop for Mac supports this feature.

do you know any free ways to do it. in my imac's app store photoshop doesn't even show up. online it ranges from 69.99 to 749.99 smh. that's a bit much just to post a few pics.
