Troubleshooting Problems with Test Equipment

Does anyone troubleshoot drone problems with electronic test equipment, ie DVM, O-Scope, Power Meter...?
I'm fairly new to the Phantom3 Std, and see a lot of guess work and part swapping to isolate and identify problems.

Without schematics, that is basically what you would be doing anyway. Scopes and DVM', FA's etc... will only get you so far and even at that you might still be guessing.

Yes, same reply as @Fly Dawg.

This thread was pretty interesting getting into the Phantom via programing, I was thinking the maybe it could get as far as trouble shooting by trying to send commands to specific parts of the Phantom.
Phantom 3 Standard range mod , let's do it together...
