I keep hearing that if you travel to countries such as Brazil and Peru with your phantom they will take it away at the airport and won't return it.
Has anyone heard anything like this? Are there any other countries that are doing the same? You don't want to fly somewhere without knowing and loose your investment.
Let's pass the word around.

I recently went to Peru with a friend. Both of us taking a Phantom 2 (one with GoPro and one +). At the airport we were stopped at customs and they told us we couldn't go into the country with those Phantoms. After a while discussing with them (in a VERY gentle way) explain we were photographers and we were going to fly in the desert, they allowed us to continue with our Phantoms. Really it is getting hard to sort out the customs problems with drones in this country. We were lucky this time.

great info, we all phantom users should pass the word and help each other. I am heading to curaçao next week , any problems there??
