A month ago, I had a shoot, took my Inspire 1 and two Phantom 3 Pro’s, finished the job and put the machines back in their perspective cabinet for storage. Three weeks later, I pull them back out for another gig take them out to run them up and guess what? The Inspire 1 and two of the Phantom 3’s Pro's now have the same exact problem;

“No Image Transmission”

For 3 weeks I have have tried every conceivable thing to remedy the problem but according to my hidden files (below) there is no communication on any of the 3 machines to the video transmit transmit board.

Everything else on the machines works perfect (except no image) it flies fine, Sats locks, IMU good, calibrates fine, etc.,etc. When I record video or stills, it records the data fine on the chip. When I stick the chip in my Mac, everything is normal good quality and clear playback. The second remote trans also works perfect.

This is just a "Few" of the different options I’ve tried:

Tried three different transmitters
Tried different locations
Changed 3 Batteries
Changed the micro chips
Re-installed the same firmware on machine
Install latest Firmware on machine
Re-Installed latest firmware on the transmitter
Re-installed the Go App
Tried 2 different iPad Mini’s
Try iPhone 6 +
Try a Samsung S7
Remove the camera and cleaned all the contacts
Try countless different combinations on the app i.e. 4K, 1080 decoding, etc.

I checked the hidden files on both the Inspire and P3P and it shows "Device Not Detected" on 08 00 & 15 00. which means the output boards are DOA.

On the P3P - I ordered a replacement board for my P3P but the one DJI sent to me only has 2 antenna connections where mine as 4 connections. Would anyone have the correct info or board?

On the Inspire - I cannot find any information at all on the transmission board or its replacement.

It appears this No Image Transmission problem is very common and wide-spread. In the past month, I’ve found hundreds of posts with the same exact problem. I’m assuming the output board is running too hot and after a 6-12 months they all start failing.

I tried the DJI forum for 3 weeks now with absolutely no help or any solution, DJI is very aware of the problem but refuse to comment or assume any repair based on the fact they would have to replace thousands of boards and of course DJI does not have very much money (Only $10 Billion) to fix this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m under contract so I need to get back in the air.

Many Thanks in advance.

Mike

Had a similar problem on my P4. The SD card got corrupted and needed to be formatted. Then all was good.

Did you ever find a solution ?

My copter was stored for 14 months due to illness and now I get the same error... no video transmission .... tried an android pad the smp900 will fly it but same error my small 8" android pad will not link to the machine ...my iPad will link and fly it but no video transmission there either ....

Any assistance would be appreciated!

I have tried everything possible - there is hundreds of P3P's and Inspires with the same exact problem. It appears as if something was changed or altered in the the DJI go App to cause the problem. I had three machines stored and all failed the same day which is impossible for a hardware failure. DJI is playing dumb about this because they can't afford to fix our equipment since it would cut into their Billions of Profits so we're all suffering with equipment that is dead.

Mike

Did you happen to do a firmware update before all this started? Just curious.

This problem has nothing to do with any user changeable elements here's a few post below. When you check the hidden files from the machine you can see that the board is now "Not Detected" this means that there is no communication from the drones processor to the video board.

All three of my drones P3P & Inspires failed the same day. I have reached the conclusion that DJI has corrupted the App causing this problem. There is now hundreds of guys with the same problem!

Mike

Three weeks ago I had a shoot and took my Inspire 1 and three Phantom 3 Pro’s ran them all up everything checked out fine - we finished the job a few days later and put the machines back in their perspective cabinet for storage.

Three days ago (3 weeks later from last run-up) I pull them back out for another gig take them out to run them up and guess what? The Inspire 1 and two of the Phantom 3’s Pro's now have the same exact problem;

“No Image Transmission”

This is nearly impossible that three of the four machines would all have the same exact problem at the same exact time almost as if there was a self-destruct timer in the machines. All the machines are stored in the same air conditioned area.

Since I really need the Inspire the most - she goes in for Exploratory Surgery. The diagnoses is; Everything on the Inspire works perfect (except no image) it flies fine, Sats locks, IMU good, calibrates fine, etc.,etc. When I record video or stills, it records the data fine on the chip. When I stick the chip in my Mac, everything is normal good quality and clear playback. The second remote trans also works perfect.

This is just a "Few" of the different options I’ve tried the past three days with no luck or change.

Tried three different transmitters
Changed 3 Batteries
Changed the micro chips
Re-installed the same firmware on machine
Install latest Firmware on machine
Re-Installed latest firmware on the transmitter
Re-installed the Go App
Tried 2 different iPad Mini’s
Try iPhone 6 +
Try a Samsung S7
Remove the camera and cleaned all the contacts
Try countless different combinations on the app i.e. 4K, 1080 decoding, etc.

None of these machine have ever been down, hit, tipped over, never even had a bad landing inthe years I've owned them - they are perfect. If anyone has some suggestions I’m all ears. I do not want to ship these machine out of my site, so I’m looking for options>

Hello I just finished the hidden file and it appears I have the same problem "Device Not Detected" on 08 00 & 15 00.

Mike, this probably won't help, but it sounds like its time to consider all options, even if they don't make sense.

My short story first.
My P4P was not used for >30 days, when like you, I got it ready to fly, but to my surprise, no connections between my devices, iPad, iPhone. Tried changing cables and many other option with no luck. Last effort was to hard boot the device I used on last working flight, iPad in my case, ad bam, iPad connected, iPhone connected, everything started working after that one iOS device was hard booted.

Why, I have no idea. If someone would have said that one latch between a single device was preventing this thing from communicating with all my devices I would have called them crazy, but crazy worked on mine.

Try hard booting the last device you used and see what happens, nothing to lose but time.

Best of luck.

Traveler thanks for the reply, I own 2 mini 3's 1 Mini 4, Ipad 10" Ipad pro 12.9 and a combination of 4 cell phones which were rebooted and new apps installed as well. So this pretty much rules out that App hardware. As I mentioned the processor is no seeing the Video Board as shown below in the hidden files. This means all three video boards failed the same exact day where the odds are better of you winning the $700 mill last week, "OR" DJI turned off the board through the app. Those are the two choices!

I checked the hidden files on both the Inspire and P3P and it shows "Device Not Detected" on 08 00 & 15 00. which means the output boards are DOA.

Had the problem once on my P3S.

Took it fishing no problems. Next weekend went fishing again and no transmission. But flew fine. I just used it since I don't need the camera to drop my line.

Went back home and charged everything up and video just came back. I did update my app on my phone between the 2 trips so not sure if that could of been it. No problems since and going again tonight.

Mike, I am very new to this hobby, and am still trying to learn everything I can. IF DJI turned off the video board thru the app, would not every single DJI product out there using the app, exhibit the same problem? Why or how could they pick and choose which ones to turn off and which ones to leave on? Is it possible some other outside influence corrupted a file or burned out the boards??
Like i said, I am still reading everything and learning all I can.

Mike, I really wouldn't give up on this being some sort of software glitch. Like you said, the odds of all the boards going out at once, has to be astronomical. Again, when my bird was hung, it didn't matter how many device I tried, it would not connect, and BTW, I went as far as to even change USB port cards on the transmitter. Like you, I tri d removing the app, installing the app, changing cords, logging out/in to DJI. I was bamboozled. Then my last ditch effort was to hold down the power button and the home button on the last known device I used until the apple logo came on and it was like nothing had ever been wrong. iPad worked again, iPhone worked again. Don't give up. Keep trying; fingers crossed for you.

Well I'm thinking it has to be DJI GO app, for I haven't and will not update my a/c or my R/C and after I updated my apps in my iPhone I'm now getting the same transmission errors. This is still a brand new Phantom 3 Professional firmware 1.10.90 Remote 1.8.0 didn't really want to update the app but I did and don't know how to downgrade back to what I had.
