This place was once a glorious gothic mansion, sadly now it is on the verge of collapse.

Glyn, to me it looks like the place is being systematically stripped, probably for architectural salvage. Notice that most of the (high value) roof tiles have long gone.

The standard of scaffolding construction points to cowboys at work!
