Great article that likens the DJI Phantom to the original Macintosh computer of 1984. Over the last couple of years we have had all these UAV products in kit form, now we have the Phantom, which is the first of the highly capable, ready to fly mass market products. Before you had the Macintosh you had these hobbyists, tinkering in their garages at night after work. The Macintosh was the first computer to be marketed as the computer for everyone with an easy to use interface.

All DJI needed was a Superbowl commercial.
