Tethering ipad mini

Will tethering my ipad mini 3 to my cell phone cause any potential interference with my RC.

the ipad is the cellular model without a plan.

I tether my Mini2 when out in the field and need to update maps etc but I only do it until the maps are zoomed in clear and ready to go. Then I got back to airplane mode. Just my 2 cents.

It should be fine ... but why bother?
There's no need for internet connection when you're flying.
