I'm curious, being a new pilot, if I go behind a tree or solid object will I lose my signal?
If it does maintain the signal is there a time limit where it would lose the signal behind a solid object?

I realize here in the USA that LOS is the rule but I'd still like to know the bird's capability. I have an Advanced model.

If you go behind a solid object you'll lose signal immediately. Trees are a maybe...it depends on how much foliage there is.
After the control signal has been lost for 3 seconds, RTH will kick in...so you need to make sure your RTH is set higher that anything that you might fly behind.

This is great to know thank you.
How about a programmed route?
Does this still apply?
