Hi toorboy, excellent tour around the castle. That's Bass Rock in the background isn't it?
We (cousin & myself) are looking for some castles to visit for a fly-past, think this is moving up the list. What is the access to the castle like? I didn't notice any nearby carparks. Clue is in the name why I ask about access.
BTW, I'm from the other side, near Glasgow Airport.
Edit: I had a look at this Castle and others. They come under Scottish Heritage and have entrance fees and a pre-requisite for CAA Certification, Permissions, Liability Insurance of £1M, etc.. for UAV filming. Whether that is only for commercial or includes hobby filming I don't know yet. Did you come across any 'officialdom' or just take off and fly from the cliff-top?
I'm thinking that it might be worth taking out SH Membership. My 'co-pilot' is CAA Certified so we are half way there.
