Tall landing kit

Would changing the skids to a tall landing kit totally effect the balance. Fancied getting one but not if it starts cocking things up!

I'm not sure if you are referring to the taller, stock looking ones or the T shaped ones. I've used the former, with no difference that I could tell. I like them, but had to revert to stock when I purchased a hard case for transportation due to the quad being to tall to fit.
