headed up to lake george and want to get some cool cliff diving shots. Any advice for keeping it out of the water? anyone with good flotation advice for incase/when it goes in? thinking about putting on some sort of fishing float underneath.

Was kind of curious what I could get away with as far as floatation. For instance, re-using the foam inserts that are packaged with the batteries. Is that even remotely enough to keep it from dropping like a rock?

Set the home position on shore in case you have a RTH it won't be looking for a boat that's not there.

Great idea. 100 feet would help. Attach another getterback to the first one and you would have 200 feet. Hopefully it is a very strong weight fish line.

This will allow you to give your phantom a proper burial in the event it drowns...

Has anyone actually tried a floatation device and not just a recovery device...
i.e.. attaching some pool noodles to the struts so it could theoretically take off and land on the water?
Could you get them small enough to still float but not affect the flight?
