Taking a drone to and through India

Does anyone have any experience of dealing with the Indian Authorities when traveling with a drone? My research suggests that they are simply banned from flying anywhere in India. Does that mean they may try to confiscate out for the duration of my visit.

I can't say for India, Mexico didn't show any interest, coming or going. You can call a u.s. Based in India to maybe find out. Check at least three, I called one in Mx and got a false report. Good luck and have fun flying
