I have a battery that's quite new (only 40 flights) but outside warranty, it's showing 3rd cell lower than the others under load and displays 'battery error' when flying. It does not actually fail, still flies to the end of the flight (actually the 3rd cell becomes the same as the others for most of the remainder of the flight).

I'm not confident of using this battery but I'd like to raid the top section to replace with one of my other batteries that has a slightly stiff hinge on the latch plastic - is there a 'breakdown' article or vid somewhere?

Or do I just use it with an adapter for charging USB stuff when I'm camping :)

I remember watching a teardown, though the tools used were brute force and heated segment knife.

The front face actually clips on .... you have to work round easing the clip action apart. If careful - you can easily reclip if back.

Banggood actually sells a P3 battery shell case ..........
