Strange Cable?

Hi All.
Does anyone know what the grey and red cables as per the attached photos are for? They go into a grommet near the leg but don't come out the other side. I don't think I've cut them by mistake and have only just noticed that the wires are there and seem to do nothing.
Any ideas?

It's just an auxiliary power cable, if you've got an accessory (FPV camera, gimbal etc.) that you want to power from your main flight battery you can connect it to this aux. cable with a suitable connector.

No need to panic, you've not cut through anything :)

Phew.. So are you saying I can connect my FPV TX power cable to this lead rather than plugging it into the battery balance plug each time?

You can, although I seem to remember reading something on here about doing so putting too much load on the (thin) wiring and causing a small fire when the wires overheated.

I could be wrong, though.

I have my auxiliary cable hooked up to my gimbal.

Cheers, sat here, Phantom apart already connecting the cables to my FPV. Just hope the wires don't melt now! Certainly will be easier not having to plug the power into the FPV TX each time.

I didn't like the look of the auxiliary wires, too thin,so I soldered slightly heavier gauge wire to the same points on the board that the aux wires are soldered to,to run the FPV gear from.
