I've added these antennas to my TX and repeater and left the P2V+ untouched (so called Stage 2):

5.8 Ghz 14 dBi Docooler Panel ($15) http://www.amazon.com/Docooler-Antenna- ... B00JIKTGJO
2.4 Ghz 14 dBi TP-link Panel ($50) http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-ANT241 ... B003CFATOC
2.4 Ghz 9 dBi FPVLR Half Sphere Helix ($75) http://fpvlr.com/shop/index.php?route=p ... duct_id=54

I don't think that last one is needed. I have seen nearly as good performance from this $11 one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZWPRUI (with just a pair of these, $22, I had solid FPV to over 8500').

I am using these RG178 pigtails which seem to work better than the previous ordinary ones I tried: http://www.ebay.com/itm/130962050555

Anyway, I flew out to 2.05 miles and found amazingly solid reception at 640x480@15 resolution. It never even stuttered or hesitated. This is using the Android V booster app V2.1.

Here's the video with FPV captured and included: http://www.flytrex.com/mission/quadcopt ... ver-83939/
I find it just amazing what these things will do - such a solid wifi signal at over 2 miles, only modifying one end.

Since there is plenty of battery power to go further, my next upgrades are to iTelite 19 dBi panels on both 5.8 and 2.4. We'll see how that works in a week or so.
