if you think it's only the p3 that can achieve a smooth video in wind, how about this, it's my phantom V1.1.1 with a cheap £29 2d gimbal, when I took off I thought I was going to get a rubbish video with the strength of the wind gust, that's why I didn't stay up too long,
the organizers of the show asked me if I could get some aerial photos and a video for them
Thanks, yea it was very windy. I don't normally fly when its like that but they were tearing the old greenhouse down beginning Monday and I wanted to make sure I got a few shots in
One of my early attempts with gimbal on a very windy day at the beach -
My P1’s tilting so much to maintain position that the camera/gimbal reaches it’s maximum range of movement and hits something causing the vibration seen in the video.
Normally, things are fairly smooth for a cheap, old (P1, Hero2, eBay gimbal) rig as can be seen in this rather boring cruise around an RC area in San Diego.
