Securing Pin

Have been learning about the Phantom 2 and the H3-3D gimbal for the past couple of days. I would like to try some of the other rubber mounts instead of the white ones that are installed from the factory. Unfortunately the new securing pins are kind of a one time use design.

If anyone else has had a chance to look at this, how do you think a security cable would work instead? Thinking of making some with a screw together fastener. It also looks like on the H3-2D that there did not use to be any securing pins and they just relied on the rubber mounts to keep the GoPro attached to the Phantom.

Thanks for any feedback,

Darren
