Many have found out that by default Win 10 reverts SD Card slot to just READ ONLY. This has meant using Card Readers via USB or the worst option - cable to the AC and slow transfer.
Well I have been searching out this and found that MS have reported correcting this in latest Win10 update ... Well Bill - that's rubbish as I have latest updates and still this ridiculous default Read Only.
Well it seems that all is not lost .... I spent another session looking at online forums and QA's ... and decided to try something.
I inserted the card ...
It auto displayed content as I have set.
Closed that and went to Explorer and clicked on "THIS PC" to see all drives.
Right clicked the SD card drive, mine is E
Selected PROPERTIES
Selected SHARING
Selected ADVANCED SHARING
Selected SHARE THIS FOLDER
Clicked on PERMISSIONS
Clicked FULL CONTROL
Clicked on APPLY
OK .. OK ... OK ... back to Explorer.
Now this worked with one of my Win 10 machines ... but not the other !!!!
Maybe it can help you ?
