screen capture videos

I apologize for the dumb question. Lots of videos I see posted here have all of the specs on the aircraft with them...flight distance, altitude, map, signal strength, battery strength, etc...
I took my P3S out this weekend for the first time and all of the video I recorded from my DJI app is very similar to the video I took off the SD card, no details or anything like that.

Are folks using a different screen capture program to record the DJI app as they are watching/interacting with it? Or is there a way I can have my tablet record these sorts of details as well?

Am I making any sense?

They are either using a screen recording app or they are editing with RaceRender or DashWare (which is free now).
