RTH close call at 500m ceiling - lesson learned.

I was doing some "mountain climbing" today and hit my 500m ceiling. Wanting to get around a hill that was in front of me, I strafed around it, which almost put it between me and my drone. I was fortunate to lose signal when I did, because if I kept going, bad things might have happened.

So, what's the lesson? Always be mindful of the RTH path, especially at the ceiling.

Yes, I live in the Canadian Rockies I know all about that. I just haven't had the fear knock it into my head, thanks for heads up. Nice vid anyhow!

Another consideration is thermals. Bad!
