How do I get into Ground Station so that I can see a list of my previous flights. I would like to see locations and Height patters of each flight recorded.

Are there any special steps that need to be done to be sure that each flight is saved with GS (iPad Version)

You can save them in your Favorites folder. To access, tap the top tab with the 3 dots. Another window will appear. Your Favorites are in the top left tab that looks like a cloud with a star in the right corner.

To save a mission to favorites you tap a star shaped symbol which is near the bottom right-ish of the screen and an editable box pops up.
