I recently replaced one of my motors because I pulled a bone head move and used a long screw when attaching prop guards.

Everything seems to have went well however when I fly the aircraft it's max speed forward is around 23mph but other direction will hit 32. I don't recall this difference prior to replacing the motor.

Any suggestions?

Speed difference could be due to wind direction.

Why did you replace only one of the motors?

I checked different directions with same results. Winds about 10mph.

I only replace the one motor since it was the only one that seemed affected. Probably should have replaced them all why I had it open. Just such a hassle.

Is there a way for you to check the speeds of the motors without props? That might give you a hint about this behavior.

I'm not sure but I think it's worth a little research before taking this thing apart again. Thanks for the help.

If you have a motor testing lab nearby, approach them, they might have a contact less tacho meter that can help you record speed differences.
