Replace camera/gimbal or sell and buy Phantom 2?

I purchased the Phantom 2 Vision+ mainly because the idea of adding an FPV system to a Phantom 2 by myself was a little scary. I really loved how I had FPV out of the box with the Vision + but I really would rather be using my GoPro. So, is it possible to remove the gimbal/camera from the +, sell it and put the h3-3d in it's place along with an FPV setup? Or should I just sell the + and buy an already modified 2? I think I just answered my own question... it's probably best to sell my entire setup and go shopping. I'm aware that I'll spend more in the end to have the 2 with a GoPro and FPV but I'm ok with that. Since I spent time typing this I might as well post... thoughts?
