RC Controller Bricked after 1.6 update? Can't restart...

Just upgraded the RC controller to 1.6. Went OK. Message said to restart Controller.
Problem is: controller is ON with green light and 4 battery LEDS on. Can't switch it off!
How do we reset or restart this thing?
There's no reset hole or battery that can be removed...

Can we assume you are familiar with short press then press and hold technique same as phantom battery?
